Francois Longuet was a French emigre priest who came to Reading in the wake of the French Revolution. He founded a chapel in Reading, the first purpose-built one since the Reformation, which he called The Chapel of the Resurrection. We look forward very much to Lindsay’s talk on this resourceful and little-known character, the founder of modern Catholic community in Reading.
