We recently enjoyed a most interesting day conference on the 2nd Vatican Council at St Chad’s Cathedral, Birmingham, as guests of the Midland Catholic History Society. Our speakers were Brian Davies of the Justice and Peace Commission, and Fr Norman Tanner SJ, lecturer at the Gregorian University, Rome. Brian Davies spoke on Receiving Vatican II, and Fr Tanner asked the question – How Novel was the Council? You can listen to Brian Davies’ talk below, and read Fr Tanner’s paper.
Thanks go to them both for allowing this material to be reproduced on our website for the benefit of a wider audience.
